United Rivers: How two brothers turned their love for Westerns into a fashion brand worn by celebrities

From Western films to fashion legacy

Take the essence of American Western street style and give it a modern twist with superior tailoring and premium craftsmanship, and you have United Rivers. A fashion brand that came from the connection of Colombian-born brothers Camillo and Julian Rios with each other and with their passion for American and spaghetti Western movies. As children, they had no idea, but they would grow up to take inspiration from the classic Western films they watched and loved to create an original brand that reflects their belief in the American dream.

United Rivers begins with brotherhood

When deciding what to name their brand, the brothers wanted to emphasize how their union as siblings was behind its creation. Thus came the name United Rivers, since their surname, Rios, means rivers in Spanish. They showed the same creativity and originality when naming their garments, choosing to call them by the names of rivers in the United States.

Top 10 celebrities who wear United Rivers

Among the top 10 celebrities and musicians who have worn United Rivers are the actor Barry Keoghan, the fashion designer and entrepreneur Virgil Abloh, DJ and songwriter Black Coffee, singers Nicky Jam, J Balvin, and Maluma, footballers Radamel Falcao and Enzo Fernandez, and NBA players Bruce Brown and Rudy Gay. The latter even co-designed a capsule collection with the brand.

Made for All, inspired by American

Structured denim shirts, tailored jeans, and varsity jackets form the core of the brand’s aesthetic, each piece often accented with standout details like beaded embellishments or multicoloured pockets. The use of indigo, sand beige, pastel pink, and earthy hues nods to the brand’s deep connection to Americana style. The designs are offered both as immediates and on demand, with a broad size range going from XS to 2XL, and are made in America. The pieces have a genderless appeal and are worn by men and women alike.
